What Happens If Someone Claims My Song?

Understand the first steps when a rights complaint concerns submitted music or when you need to report unauthorised use.

Last updated

A copyright complaint can affect delivery or availability while the rights position is reviewed. Indigenous Tunes may request information, restrict access, pause delivery or take other proportionate steps under the applicable agreement and service rules.

If a claim concerns your music

Keep all notices and gather the documents that show your authority to use the master recording, composition, samples, voices, artwork and other submitted material. Respond through the secure account-support route and do not send sensitive evidence through a public form.

If you need to report unauthorised use

Provide a clear description of the protected work, the location of the disputed material, your relationship to the rights, and reliable contact details. The claimant is responsible for the accuracy of the notice.

Use a private support route
