This website version provides the current accessible policy text. Where a separately accepted or signed agreement applies, that agreement and any non-waivable law also govern.
AI music may be eligible
AI-assisted or AI-generated music may be considered where the uploader holds all necessary commercial rights, presents the release honestly and complies with the applicable digital service's rules. Acceptance by Indigenous Tunes does not guarantee acceptance by every DSP.
AI-assisted and AI-generated content
AI-assisted production may involve tools used within a human-led creative process. AI-generated content may include material substantially produced by a generative system. Either category can require additional information about tools, outputs, rights and contributors.
Synthetic voices, cloning and likeness
Unauthorised voice cloning, impersonation, deceptive celebrity or public-figure imitation, and use of a person's likeness without sufficient permission are prohibited. A synthetic performance must not mislead listeners about a real person's participation or endorsement.
Rights and training-data claims
The uploader warrants sufficient commercial rights in the submitted output and all incorporated material. Access to an AI tool does not by itself prove distribution rights. Where a tool, model, dataset or claimant places material rights in dispute, Indigenous Tunes may request evidence, restrict delivery or remove the content.
Metadata and disclosure
Artist identity, contributors and release metadata must be accurate. Indigenous Tunes or a DSP may require an AI-use declaration or other disclosure. Deceptive metadata, mass-generated spam and attempts to evade platform rules are prohibited.
DSP rejection and takedowns
DSPs control their own AI policies and may reject, limit, demonetise or remove content. Indigenous Tunes may also reject or remove AI content that creates unresolved rights, identity, fraud or policy concerns.
Fraudulent use
Artificial streaming, fake artists, fraudulent ownership, misleading synthetic identities and content designed primarily to manipulate royalty systems are prohibited and may affect releases, royalties, accounts and future distribution access.
