This website version provides the current accessible policy text. Where a separately accepted or signed agreement applies, that agreement and any non-waivable law also govern.
Parties and agreement
This agreement is between Indigenous Tunes and the artist, record label or authorised account holder that accepts it during onboarding. The accepted version and applicable plan form the distribution contract. The account holder must have capacity and authority to enter the agreement.
Eligibility and account responsibility
The account holder must provide accurate information, protect account access, maintain authority over submitted content and promptly update material changes. Where a person cannot enter the agreement independently under applicable law, an authorised parent, guardian or representative must act for the account.
Rights granted to Indigenous Tunes
The account holder grants Indigenous Tunes the non-exclusive rights reasonably required during the applicable term to encode, reproduce, deliver, communicate, make available, administer, report on, monetise and request removal of submitted content through eligible digital music services and supported territories. The grant is limited to providing and administering the selected distribution service.
Ownership does not transfer to Indigenous Tunes merely because content is submitted or accepted.
Ownership, permissions and warranties
The account holder represents that it owns or controls sufficient rights and permissions for the master recording, composition, lyrics, samples, beats, artwork, names, likenesses, featured artists, producers, performers and every other supplied element. Collaborator shares and approvals must be resolved before delivery.
Acceptance or delivery by Indigenous Tunes is not independent validation of ownership.
Metadata, artwork and release information
Titles, artist identities, contributors, explicit-content indicators, identifiers, dates, genre, artwork and other metadata must be complete and accurate. Misleading metadata, impersonation, duplicate or spam content, and unauthorised material may be rejected, corrected, suspended or removed.
Territory and digital music services
Indigenous Tunes may deliver eligible releases to supported digital music services across available territories. References to over 200 music destinations describe the broader network, not a guarantee that every release will reach every destination.
Platform eligibility, content acceptance, territory availability, format requirements and continuing availability remain subject to DSP rules and review. A DSP may reject, limit, adjust or remove content.

Distributable royalties
“Distributable royalties” means amounts actually received and allocated to the account after applicable DSP adjustments, reversals, fraud deductions, taxes or withholding, payment-provider effects, chargebacks and other documented adjustments. It does not mean 100% of gross DSP revenue.
The plan percentage is applied to distributable royalties. See the Royalties & Payouts Policy.
Term, suspension and takedowns
No-upfront plans have the stated five-year term. Annual plans have the stated one-year subscription period. Content or accounts may be suspended or removed for infringement, fraud, legal requirements, DSP action, unpaid applicable fees or material breach. Removal timing may depend on third-party platforms.
Content standards and fraud
Artificial streaming, bots, click farms, deceptive playlists, fake artists, false ownership claims, payment fraud and metadata manipulation are prohibited. DSP penalties may affect releases, royalties, accounts and future access. See the Acceptable Use Policy and Rights Ownership & Content Standards.
Acceptance and records
Distribution should not be activated until the account holder affirmatively accepts the current agreement and applicable plan terms. The secure account workflow should record the agreement version, timestamp, account and plan, with IP or device information only where appropriate and lawfully processed. This public website does not create or store an acceptance record.
Law, disputes and mandatory protections
The agreement is intended to operate under South African law, subject to mandatory consumer and other rights that cannot be excluded. The account version presented before acceptance will state the applicable notices process, dispute provisions, liability allocation and confirmed company particulars.
