This website version provides the current accessible policy text. Where a separately accepted or signed agreement applies, that agreement and any non-waivable law also govern.
When to use this policy
Use this process to report music or artwork distributed without authority, copyright infringement, conflicting ownership, impersonation or another rights dispute connected to Indigenous Tunes services.
Information required
A report should identify the complainant, the protected work, the disputed release or location, the basis of the claim, supporting evidence, authority to act and accurate contact details. Only information reasonably required to assess the complaint should be supplied.
Review and takedown process
Indigenous Tunes may request clarification, notify the affected account holder where lawful, restrict delivery, ask a platform to remove content, preserve relevant records or refer the dispute to the appropriate service or authority. A platform may apply its own takedown procedure.
Responses and counter-information
An affected account holder may be invited to provide authority, licences, contracts or other evidence. A response does not guarantee reinstatement. Conflicting private ownership claims may require the parties to resolve the dispute through agreement, a competent authority or legal process.
False claims and repeat infringement
Knowingly false or abusive complaints, forged evidence and repeat infringement are prohibited. Repeated or serious violations may lead to release removal, royalty holds where lawful, account restriction or loss of distribution access.
Report copyright infringement
This page does not upload complaint evidence. Existing customers should use the Client Portal. Other rights holders may email the general company address with the subject “Copyright Infringement Report” and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
