This website version provides the current accessible policy text. Where a separately accepted or signed agreement applies, that agreement and any non-waivable law also govern.
Service scope
Publishing and rights services may include information gathering, registration support, catalogue preparation or administration within an agreed service scope. Indigenous Tunes does not claim blanket global publishing administration in every territory.
Two distinct publishing routes
The Indigenous Tunes Publishing Platform provides the broader catalogue, publishing, rights and licensing route through SourceAudio. The South Africa Publishing & Rights Registration application is a separate local workflow hosted in the Indigenous Tunes Client Portal for applicable South African rights and industry organisations. Access to one route does not replace, include or guarantee eligibility for the other.
Application submission
Submitting the South African application provides information for assessment and the applicable registration or administration workflow. It does not itself create membership, confirm registration, transfer rights, guarantee approval or require an organisation to accept an application.
Rights-owner information
The applicant must provide accurate composition titles, songwriter and composer details, ownership shares, publisher information, identifiers, agreements and any existing society or administration relationships.
Registration and collection limitations
Registration acceptance, matching, collection and recovery depend on the relevant society, platform, territory, data quality, mandate and claim history. Indigenous Tunes does not guarantee registration, recovery of past royalties or collection in every territory.
Separate engagement terms
The final scope, territory, fees, commission, term, mandate and reporting arrangement should be set out in a separate quote, mandate or service agreement where required.
