This website version provides the current accessible policy text. Where a separately accepted or signed agreement applies, that agreement and any non-waivable law also govern.
Purpose of this manual
This page prepares the Indigenous Tunes manual under the Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA). PAIA provides a process for requesting access to records held by a private body when the record is required for the exercise or protection of a right, subject to the Act.
Organisation details
Indigenous Tunes is a South African music distribution and artist-services company. Registered-entity details, the physical address and Information Officer particulars are not yet available in this public web version. Requests may use the current route below until those particulars are published.
Categories of records
Subject to the records actually held and lawful grounds for access or refusal, categories may include:
- company and governance records;
- customer, supplier and service-provider records;
- distribution, catalogue and release records;
- financial, accounting, royalty and tax records;
- contracts, licences and rights documentation;
- personnel and operational records;
- website, privacy, security and support records; and
- marketing and communications records.
Records available without a PAIA request
Public website pages, published policies, marketing information and other records expressly made public may be accessed without a formal PAIA request. No additional schedule of automatically available records is currently published.
How to request access
A request should identify the requester, the record sought, the right being exercised or protected, the form of access requested and enough detail to locate the record. Identity and authority may need to be verified. Use the Privacy Rights Request page for the current enquiry route and identify the request as a PAIA request.
Fees, decisions and remedies
Any prescribed request or access fee, response process, lawful refusal ground and remedy will be applied in accordance with PAIA and its current regulations. Indigenous Tunes will not publish invented fees or deadlines. Requesters may have complaint or court remedies provided by law.
Official guidance
Current forms and guidance should be checked with the Information Regulator and the South African Department of Justice PAIA resource.
