This website version provides the current accessible policy text. Where a separately accepted or signed agreement applies, that agreement and any non-waivable law also govern.
Cancelling a paid plan
A customer may request cancellation through the account or Client Portal route made available for the plan. Cancellation timing and the effect on future service, catalogue availability and renewal depend on the current billing configuration and distribution agreement.
Service commencement
Digital distribution work may begin after purchase or account activation, including account setup, release review or delivery preparation. Whether this affects a cancellation or refund request depends on the service supplied, the reason for the request and applicable consumer law.
Refund assessment
Refund requests may be considered for duplicate payments, an incorrect charge, a material technical failure attributable to Indigenous Tunes, a service that could not be supplied, or another circumstance required by law. Requests are assessed on their facts; this policy does not impose a blanket “no refunds” rule.
Situations that may not qualify
A refund may not be available merely because a release is rejected by a DSP under its rules, promotional results differ from expectations, a customer changes plans after service has begun, or the customer supplied ineligible or infringing content. This is subject to non-waivable statutory rights.
Consumer rights
Nothing in this policy removes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the South African Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, or another applicable consumer law.
